Ann and her family are so dear to me, and I’m so happy I’ve been there since the start. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I absolutely love the connections I have with my clients. One of the things I really love is how the kids know me, and remember me; I honestly don’t even know how or why they remember me, but it melts my heart all over the place.
Ainsley is one of the best examples of this. At one point on this last shoot, we all piled into Mike’s truck to drive on Duxbury Beach. Ainsley was probably getting a little tired and she started to cry, so I said, “Do you want to come and sit on my lap?” And she immediately stopped crying and put her hands out to me… until I realized, um, you can’t have a toddler A. in the front seat, and B. especially without a seatbelt. Whoops. I was forgetting the actual logistics of the situation. lol But boy did my heart smile when she stopped crying, just because she could come and sit with me. Do you know the emoji with all the hearts coming out of that one? That’s what it felt like.
So, enough words, how about I share some images? I think that’s why some of you might be here, right? ;) At the end of the blog post, I’ll throw in some history–from when Ainsley was born, to Ainsley’s one year shoot. Then baby Calista joined in, and now she’s already one year old. Thank you Ann–you and your family are so dear to me, and I appreciate you all so much. kat xo
