This couple holds a special place in my heart. Not only because they’re a fantastic couple… nope, more than that. It’s how they knew I existed when they contacted me – Marisa was a bridesmaid a couple of years ago… that is where I met her. Here’s how the story goes…
There once was a time when I only wished I could shoot weddings. I dreamed of doing it. Hoped I would do it. That is, until Casey and Stu came along and put their faith in me; they trusted me, beyond a shadow of a doubt – even though I had never shot a wedding by myself before, they trusted me to shoot theirs. Not a small thing to ask of someone – but that just tells you a little bit about who they are. How amazing they are as people, as a couple, as people who will, probably never in their wildest imagination, have any idea how much I love them for what they allowed me to do. I knew I could do it, I assumed someone should trust me based on that fact… I just never realized, until much after the fact, they had NO GOOD REASON to put their full faith in me :D Well, some idea, but, c’mon now.
I love the feeling that my couple “belongs” to me… okay hold on, that may sound creepy, wait, I think I’m just not explaining it correctly. How about this: I know that I’m the only one that should be the one to document their love story. I’m their person. (Gray’s reference – it’s such a good one.) I love that you know it’s a good fit – that they understand my ways, as quirky as I am – and they accept that about me. And they accept all the things about me that make me, well, me. :D Even more than that? They actually are endeared to those things (or so they tell me :D) Here they are!
