On this day, lots of things made me very happy. Krista and Steve made me happy. Shooting made me happy. Finding a cute little barn thingy with a WHALE weathervane and an ORANGE door, made me happy. Furthermore, shooting an engagement session for a couple, where the soon-to-be groom has just arrived home after 9+ months overseas as a Marine – pretty priceless. Usually with couples during the shoot, I’m always yelling out, muffled from behind my camera, “kiss! KISS! kiss again!!!” and sometimes, ”act like you love each other” …okay, so that last one is just a joke to get them to laugh a little :D but it’s also a direct command to snuggle in closer; the laugh is an added bonus. These two? I didn’t have to tell them to kiss once. :D Very safe to say, they’ve missed each other. And it was awesome.
Krista and I have become very close since we first met, when I also met Steve’s mom. I just loved them both instantly. Krista and I have emailed back and forth approximately 400 million times so far during this whole time (give or take…) She’s just a complete love. I also must mention, in not one of these emails did we ever even mention anything to do with her wedding. Or if we did, it was just in passing… And that is exactly how I like my relationships with my brides to be. I’m going to start having former bride reunions at my cottage or something, it’s a little sad after the wedding is over! Or more of them have to turn wedding photographers, like my former bride, Steph, who I’m meeting up with next week!!!
I’m sure Krista is sound asleep, resting up to teach her little kindergarteners all sort of great things, while Steve is preparing and ready to defend our country, whenever we need him to.
So, on any given day in the summer, the harbor wouldn’t be this calm. There is seriously no good reason that the ocean would be like glass in New England during the winter. This winter has been the best non-winter EVER! 
I love Steve here… the way he is looking at her. TRUE LOVE!
So, I’m pretty sure Blackhawk helicopters don’t frequent Scituate Harbor often… maybe just when Steve’s here?
