Becky + Ryan …and Family!

When I met Becky, I just loved her from the start. I knew we had connected, and I was so happy we did. She is funny, smart, adorable, and real. I actually was a  little sad knowing her time in the area was limited, but happy because she’d be back before I knew it. Ryan – what can I say? Oh, I don’t know… that he’s a FIGHTER PILOT? Um, like, LEGIT. That’s what he does. Seriously. I’m sure he never tires of me telling him I’d like to come fly in his jet with him; I’m sure that’s fun for him – EVERY time I see him, I mention it. Really. Fun. His excuse for why I cannot come with him, is that his jet only seats one person. Hmmm… Very convenient for him. ;) He has, however, offered to put me in, what I am assuming is the trunk of some kind to the jet, maybe it’s fuel storage, or where they keep all the fancy things that fighter pilots need while fighting and piloting. I’m also VERY certain, that he thinks I’m absolutely kidding that I want to come and fly with him. I can absolutely assure you, I am not, in fact, in the least bit kidding. For a girl who trembles and starts to cry when she reaches the 4th or 5th (if it’s a good day) step of a ladder (this is in no way an exaggeration) I even surprise myself that I want to do this so badly. OH! When I created my Goals for 2010, it actually ranks #11 out of 50. That’s pretty high up there. So, eventually, I will do it.

Becky and I had been coordinating a get-together for a while. As it turns out, the timing worked so that I could swing by her parents house while she was visiting them, but also while her brother and his family were going to be there as well!  So, on 1 of the 3 days it actually snowed this winter, and was crazy and surprisingly under 50º (naturally, because we wanted to shoot outside) we did their family shoot. I always warn my clients, that would like a family shoot such as this, with multiple families, small children (WITH babies! no less :D) that it will be impossible to get anything even close to perfect. Becky, being totally awesome, was like, I just want us, as we are – the outtakes are what I love, and shows who we are as a family. And that, my friends, is why Becky rocks.

I absolutely enjoyed all the time I spent with all of you! You made me feel wecomed in your home, and that is always so special to me.

Jeanine Chisholm - These photos are gorgeous, Kat! I can’t get over the lighting in some of them.
