I’m an editing machine… well, that is, when I’m not shooting. Yesterday, it was a wedding down the Cape… there was no snow there, and also, no snow here at home either. But it was slightly breezy and damp… to say the least. :D Then to see all the pics of snow on pumpkins and leave-covered trees on FB – they look completely surreal! I’m sure there’s snow even just a few miles away from me and the ocean.
In order to get my shoots done more expeditiously, I’m going to try to be less verbose. Seems impossible, I know, it will be quite a challenge…
Suzanne is a sweetheart; her husband George and I grew up sailing together. I was friends with his older sister, Brenda as well. These two little boys made me work for it, but that’s not much different than any other night, especially with two little boys! At the end of every shoot, everyone always tells me that I’m so patient. Trust me, this is a not an adjective I thought I’d hear about myself so frequently. In fact, I would have bet against you if you had even tried to bet me on it. As soon as we’re done shooting, the parents exhale audibly and say to me: “Do you go home and drink every night? YOU MUST!!! WE ARE GOING TO!” ha ha. I don’t, in fact, do that.
There *may* or *may not* have been Swedish Fish involved. PS There usually is :D

I’m guessing one of my inappropriate comments got this reaction (I’m full of them, beware – I don’t really know that they’re inappropriate, until they’re out of my mouth, and it’s too late, so, I can’t help it. :D)
so I always try to get a shot of just mom & dad at every shoot, if time allows. there are never enough pictures of couples themselves, unless you hand your iphone off to a stranger… this is a step up. BUT! it literally never fails that for 55 minutes, the kids are avoiding me with speed, accuracy and precision, then as soon as its NOT about THEM?!?!? HEEEEY!!!! I want to be in the picture. Every.single.time. So I love the one on the right, to me, it’s just so every day life – like if someone were to capture you as a family on an average day, at an average time, and i love that about it.

Thanks Susanne, George and family!!! Glad I got to hang out with you for the evening!
