I attended the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) Convention this month in Vegas. It was a whirlwind!
It was amazing to be surrounded by 15,000 people who get random catch phrases that no one else will ever understand:
“Is that your new 70-200?”, ”oooh, look at the Bokeh on that shot!”, “how fast is that lens – 1.4?”
And I’m sure, the question “Nikon or Canon?” (Nikon, btw) has never been asked so many times in a 5 day period. It’s just fun. It was like being on a planet just for photographers. And I liked it. I didn’t feel out of place taking over a 100 pictures at all the fun parties we went to, because I was with a bunch of other people that were taking 100′s of pictures as well :) I got to meet many amazing photographers, from the legendary Denis Reggie, the rockstar Jerry Ghionis, and the fabulous Jasmine Star. It was exciting!
Here are some shots:
i know! don’t hate! i HAD to include the sign, such a tourist! but i love the sign!

our last day in Vegas… a trip out to the desert, which ironically, was the coldest i have EVER been.

and the awesome ghost town.

imagine this is what you see as you look into a bedroom on your way to the bathroom that the nice shopkeepers let you use. um. frightening!

I’m going to be a crazy blogger this week… SO behind on the blogging! I’ve been so busy since I’ve returned from Vegas! But that’s a good thing… not complaining in the least :)
