Leah and Scott are completely fantastic. I made my way up to Gloucester not too long ago, near my old stomping grounds at Endicott College in Beverly! That part of Massachusetts reminds me so much of where I live; quaint fishing villages are where it’s at. I had SO much fun with them on the shoot, we laughed the entire way through it, then also afterwards for drinks at this cute little bar. I could honestly go on and on about how excited I was to see them together and hang out with them, and to know that it’s… ME! who will be documenting their day in September!

It’s going to be QUITE the party! I can’t wait!!!

Krista + Steve || Scituate Lighthouse Engagement Session

On this day, lots of things made me very happy. Krista and Steve made me happy. Shooting made me happy. Finding a cute little barn thingy with a WHALE weathervane and an ORANGE door, made me happy. Furthermore, shooting an engagement session for a couple, where the soon-to-be groom has just arrived home after 9+ months overseas as a Marine – pretty priceless. Usually with couples during the shoot, I’m always yelling out, muffled from behind my camera, “kiss! KISS! kiss again!!!” and sometimes, ”act like you love each other” …okay, so that last one is just a joke to get them to laugh a little :D but it’s also a direct command to snuggle in closer; the laugh is an added bonus. These two? I didn’t have to tell them to kiss once. :D Very safe to say, they’ve missed each other. And it was awesome.

Krista and I have become very close since we first met, when I also met Steve’s mom. I just loved them both instantly. Krista and I have emailed back and forth approximately 400 million times so far during this whole time (give or take…) She’s just a complete love. I also must mention, in not one of these emails did we ever even mention anything to do with her wedding. Or if we did, it was just in passing… And that is exactly how I like my relationships with my brides to be. I’m going to start having former bride reunions at my cottage or something, it’s a little sad after the wedding is over! Or more of them have to turn wedding photographers, like my former bride, Steph, who I’m meeting up with next week!!!

I’m sure Krista is sound asleep, resting up to teach her little kindergarteners all sort of great things, while Steve is preparing and ready to defend our country, whenever we need him to.

So, on any given day in the summer, the harbor wouldn’t be this calm. There is seriously no good reason that the ocean would be like glass in New England during the winter. This winter has been the best non-winter EVER! I love Steve here… the way he is looking at her. TRUE LOVE!So, I’m pretty sure Blackhawk helicopters don’t frequent Scituate Harbor often… maybe just when Steve’s here? I just had to post this one as well; such a juxtaposition…

Please, Krista, please be cuter or prettier. Please try next time.I honestly just can’t stand how cute they BOTH are! just.the.cutest.
This cracks me up of Steve :D

Brooke + Ryan || Scituate Wedding

So… this will be the shortest blog entry ever. What can I say? Brooke and Ryan… I absolutely love you guys, and was so incredibly happy to be a part of your day! I loved both your families, and they welcomed me with open arms… As we were leaving Brooke’s house to do the First Look, Brooke’s ADORABLE mom was trying to get me to take one of the deli sandwiches to go. I didn’t have the heart to tell her I couldn’t have wheat, but I was already hungry. I think she must have been trying to force feed me a sandwich, so I had to come clean that I couldn’t eat the bread, so she asked what I could eat. There were some Tostito’s and I mentioned I could have those, and she packed them in a sandwich bag, and I didn’t stop her. I just kept thinking to myself as I drove over to where we were shooting, saying over and over to myself “I CAN’T BELIEVE I MADE BROOKE’S MOM PACK ME SOME TOSTITO’S!!” But, I WAS reallllly hungry. And she practically FORCED me :D (She was so cute for doing that, and I appreciated it so much!)
So, I’d love to lie and say that everyone just kept up their holiday decorations WAY too long… but, alas, that is not the case… and also why I work every.single.day to try to catch up. BUT! All that is changing… starting in a couple of weeks :D Stay tuned…

Brooke and Ryan – if I didn’t love you guys already, I just want to say, thank you for being the most awesome, patient, understanding people on the planet. Love you more for that, you really have no idea.
